I’m back! :)

I’m finally back! Sorry I haven’t been able to blog as much. I’ve been working 3 jobs and volunteering for the HERS Breast Cancer Foundation, so I haven’t had the time to keep this blog updated. I’m back on and more excited than ever.

UFC is really starting to go mainstream and I absolutley love it. In only a few months we wil be seeing UFC live on FOX!

How amazing is that?

UFC finally on a broadcast channel for everyone to watch! And, what’s even better is that the fight their going to be showing will be out of my hometown San Jose, California!

Best Heavyweight Fight

Posted in UFC with tags , , , , on July 2, 2010 by Stephanie Huynh

I’m very excited for tomorrow night! UFC116 is going to be one of the best heavyweight fights in UFC history. Brock Lesnar will be defending his belt against Shane Carwin and we all know this has been a fight that we’ve been waiting for for a very long time now.

I use to really like Brock Lesnar until I saw how rude and arrogant he was at UFC 100 against Frank Muir. If you don’t remember, at UFC 100, Brock was beating up Frank Muir and then after he beat him up he was bad-mouthing him and even giving the audience the middle finger.

I understand there was a lot of bad-mouthing going on leading up to the fight, but that’s how most fighters are leading up to any fight. Fighters have to bad-mouth each other before they fight so that they can get pump up themselves and their fans before they get in the cage. Bad-mouthing after a fight is a definite “no-no” to me when it comes to having respect for a sport that you love. This is exaclty how Lesnar reacted and usually a “real” fighter will leave all the animosity in the cage and in the cage only. After you fight someone, you should respect them afterwards. It’s called being a “good sport”.

Lesnar has no respect for his fellow fighters. He decided to talk crap just because of the animosity Muir and him had before the fight. Before the fight doesn’t even matter in my eyes. It’s not a surprise Muir was talking crap before the fight because he’s not going to admit to the public that he’s afraid of Lesnar.

Brock has a poor attitude and I really hope Carwin knocks him out tomorrow. Brock has not fought in almost a year so I hope he has ring-rust. Brock has also never fought a fighter as good as Shane Carwin. Carwin is just as big as Brock and has won all 12 of his fights. Also, no one that has ever fought Carwin has ever made it out of the first round.

THAT’S PRETTY AMAZING IF YOU ASK ME!!

Team Ortiz vs Team Liddell?

Posted in UFC with tags , , , , , on April 8, 2010 by Stephanie Huynh

So, as we know The Ultimate Fighter season 11 has begun! Yay, the one show that I look forward to every week. I think this season is going to be great. It seems like there are a lot of very talenten and technical fighters this time around. Since, MMA has been growing rapidly in the past few years, fighters are becoming more and more skilled. Not only are fighters more skilled, but so are coaches. People are training at younger ages and are becoming well-rounded. In the show, Dana White states that he thinks Tito’s team is better. I don’t know about that, I’m pretty sure it was Liddells team that won last night. What do you guys think. I think Jager is pretty crazy with those leg kick. I think Noke is going to go really far this season. He’s a well-rounded fighter and he trains with Greg Jackson, ENOUGH SAID.

Can UFC111 please be here already?

Me in the middle of GSP and Alves at Rehab, Las Vegas after UFC100!

Another fight I’m really excited about is John Fitch vs. Thiago Alves. This is going to be such a great fight. Both of these fighters lost to GSP and now they are fighting each other. I will also be a faithful GSP fan but I do like John Fitch. He trains out of San Jose and well San Jose is the best place ever.

Another interesting fight will be Frank Mir vs. Shane Carwin. Mir has really gotten good over the past few years. I really want him to win and to go against Brock Lesnar again.

I’m back!!

Ok, so I know it’s been awhile since I blogged, but it’s not because I have not been up-to-date with the fighting world, but because I just graduated and took a short break.

Now, back to the MMA world. I’m very excited for UFC111. Georges St. Pierre is my ultimate favorite fighter. I already know he will beat Dan Hardy. Georges St. Pierre is the best pound-for-pound fighter in his weight class. Hardy may think he stands a chance but no way, not in a million years. Hardy will be happy and privledged that GSP is knocking him out!

On another note, what does everyone think about GSP going into Olympic Wrestling. Um, I really hope he does not make that depressing decision. GSP is right now the greatest fighter and I don’t think he should pursue his Olympic career until someone takes his belt and he has the opportunity to get his belt back again. After that he can do whatever he wants.

Ultimate Fighter Season Finale

Posted in UFC with tags , , , , on December 3, 2009 by Stephanie Huynh

Last night was the season finale for Ultimate Fighter, which was great. It was 2 hours long and the viewers got to see 4 fights. Holler! Brendan Schaub is going to fighting against Roy Nelson on Saturday night. This should be a great fight. I’m also excited that Kimbo Slice is going to be fighting Houston Alexander. I think it’s really about time for Kimbo Slice to prove to us he’s a good fighter.

After watching The Ultimate Fighter all season long, I’m very upset Rampage and Rashad are not fighting. They have so much “bad blood” on the show and all I want to see is them beat each other up. If I had to choose who would win, I would choose Rashad.

Mike Brown lost the belt!

Posted in WEC with tags , , , on November 19, 2009 by Stephanie Huynh

Even though I have a pic of Mike Brown and I, I’m still not a fan of his. I’m a true Uriah Faber fan always and forever. Last night was the WEC 44 and Mike brown was in Vegas trying to defend his featherweight agaisnt Jose Aldo. This was an exciting fight because it the public was actually allowed to watch it for free on Verses. The fight only lasted 2 rounds. Aldo got Brown in a pancake. A pancake is when he fighter is on top of another fighters back and the fighter on top crosses their legs under the fighter underneath them. This causes the fighter’s legs to be raised so they can’t turn over. If they can’t turn over they are just stuck laying there getting punched from the back.

Dan Hardy is fighting Georges St. Pierre!!

UFC 105 just passed and I’m very excited. Dan Hardy beat Mike Swick and now has a chance at the welterweight belt. This is really exciting because now hardy gets to fight GSP, and GSP is my ultimate favorite fighter. I alreayd know Hardy doesn’t stand a chance against GSP. I don’t think anyone in the welterweight division stands against GSP. I can’t wait to watch this fight because I will be betting money and winning money.

So many wins!

It’s absolutley amazing to me how many wins and losses Fedor Emelianenko has. Right now Fedor has a record of 31 wins and 1 loss. That is absolutley an amazing record to have in the MMA. Fedor is definitley what I consider a hall-of-famer. After his win to Brett Rogers he has proven to people that he still has what it takes to be an amazing fighter.

The only thing I’m still wondering is why Fedor is not in the UFC yet. Fedor has obviously proven himself and I think that if Fedor went against Lesner, it would be an amazing fight.

What is going on with Team Rampage?

Posted in UFC with tags , , on November 4, 2009 by Stephanie Huynh

So, I’m not sure if all have you been watching The Ultimate Fighter on Spike, but Team Rampage has not won one fight. Wow, how embarassing and pathetic. So far, Team Rashad has won every single fight for the whole season. With all the animosity going on in the show between Rashad Evans and Rampage, it makes me very mad that they’re not fighting anymore. All I want is to see them fight. Who else agrees?????
